How we select a winch drive

1. Define the duty

Line pull, drum radius, rope layers, speed, operating hours, load spectrum and environment are treated as system inputs.

2. Match interfaces

Frame flange, drum flange, motor interface, brake release, support bearing and service access are checked against drawings.

3. Approve the design

Final ratio, torque, brake, dimensions, oil, motor and certification scope are released on project-specific approved documents.
